City Performance Monitor
The City Performance Monitor is the performance analytics and monitoring tool trusted and loved by the UNaLab project cities. The City Performance Monitor makes citizens aware of the urban conditions through an easy to understand representation of the effectiveness of the NBS implemented in the city across social and environmental performance indicators.
Open Nature Innovation Arena
The Open Nature Innovation Area is a co-creation environment that will involve the citizens in monitoring the urban conditions. Citizens will be able to notify the city managers of disruptions in the urban area and collaborate to co-design possible interventions. The interaction with the NBS case studies catalogue (Oppla.eu) will inspire the users in their development of interventions by showcasing NBS already implemented in other cities.
NBS Simulation Visualisation Tool
The NBS SVT provides a map-based view that enables users to compare baseline (no NBS) conditions with the forecasted impacts of different proposed NBS strategies, incorporating anticipated local population and climate changes in future scenarios. The tool is useful in order to evaluate the need for modifications of existing NBS strategies, and to support decision-making with regard to NBS replication and up-scaling.
Geobased citizen engagement
Involving citizens throughout every step, from analysis, to design, to evaluation of NBS is critical for success. Using the official city mobile app, offering information only when relevant to the user, will improve engagement. This is exactly what this tool facilitates for any city and communication department. UNaLab has used it to inform and invite visitors to share their opinion at the right time and place.

Technical tools for expert users and data specialists
UNaLab Data Management Tools
Data Management Tools facilitate data collection and management, which enables the monitoring of the urban environment and the performance of the implemented NBS. The UNaLab Knowledge Base will facilitate the data federation and consumption by providing a single point of access to the information scattered across different data sources (i.e. open data portals, web services and siloed systems). The Visual Mashup Creator is a graphical modeller that will reduce the skills required to reuse available data, as well as adapt and normalize data structures in a standard format.
